We couldn’t do the work we do without the support of our staff, volunteers, agencies, fellow charities and wider community. Our volunteers in particular bring with them not just passion but plenty of experience from a range of backgrounds. A fact that means they can share their very own, unique mix of skills, strengths and qualities with the young people they support.
Volunteering with Ynot Aspire
All volunteers receive full training in all areas of safeguarding from our specialist team and are Enhanced DBS checked. Volunteering at Ynot Aspire, not only gives our young people the chance to work with individuals who are passionate about providing support, but offers prime opportunities for volunteers. Our volunteers can gain qualifications during the time they spend with us in youth work, Mental Health Awareness, ACE’s, substance misuse and peer mentoring, to name just a few.
How our volunteers make our service
As well as bringing their own ideas to the table, many of our volunteers have actually gone through issues similar to those being faced by our young people. Homelessness, substance misuse, bullying and domestic abuse may have been a part of their lives once, but our volunteers are shining examples of how you can come out the other end.
We are always looking for volunteers to join the Ynot Aspire team. There are no formal requirements for our volunteer programme, we embrace all. All you need is spare time, honesty, patience and passion to apply.
