Today, the Mayor of Hyndburn Mike Booth, unveiled a plaque for Tony Dobson, a former Mayor and Chair of the HVCRC Board who manage the community building. The plaque was bought by the HVCRC Board and presented to Sharon at a fundraising and memorial dinner for Tony, held in February this year.
Tony was the former Chair of Trustees for us here at Ynot Aspire and still sorely missed by us all. His sons Daniel and Matthew were present for the emotional ceremony and are thrilled that their Dad has been commemorated and remembered in this way. Tony was a well known and well loved member of the Hyndburn community. A former councillor, Mayor and Leader of the Council, he was also a valued friend to many and the ‘Heart of Hyndburn’.
