Summer is here and as the school holidays approach, we understand it can be a difficult time for many young people. Over the last year many young people have experienced an increase in mental health problems and isolation. Therefore, we have decided to put together a programme of action-packed summer activities in local parks for young people aged 11-15 to take part in.
Our summer activities run from the 11th – 27th of August and there will be plenty of activities to choose from. Working in partnership with CFW, we will be providing a range of fun and free activities, allowing young people the chance to go out, take part and enjoy the summer. Our list of activities will include sports, arts and crafts, music, and drama, with local performing arts group Just Imagine UK providing workshops for young people.
As part of the programme, we will also be providing meals for those young people who take part in the activities. We also understand that some young people may not live close to the parks where we are holding the activities, so we can also supply young people with a bus pass.
So, join us this summer to take part in our fun packed activities and let’s make it a summer to remember!!
Our activity programme will be running over the following dates:
11th August Mercer Park
16th August Lowerfold Park
26th August Bullough Park
27th August Oakhill Park
Between 11am – 3pm
